Job Posting for Machine Repairer - 2nd/3rd Shift at Emerson Career Site
As a Machine Repairer, you will be responsible for repairs and maintenance of production equipment. Including, but not limited to, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems, metal fabricating machine tools, material handling systems, and automated lubrication systems. The Machine Repairer works closely with production personnel, maintenance team members, and supervision to address equipment issues.
In this Role, your Responsibilities Will Be:
Conduct routine and preventive maintenance activities on production equipment and systems according to established schedules.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and malfunctions per work order priority.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform necessary repairs to minimize production downtime.
Perform equipment review and inspections to locate causes of malfunctions.
Utilizes power tools such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, to repair or fabricate equipment parts.
Realign and adjust machine components and systems such as spindles and clutches.
Complete maintenance-related documentation including updating/closing work orders, submitting required part numbers for ordering replacements.
Collaborate with the maintenance team/supervision to identify areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions enhance equipment performance and reliability.
Utilize lifting equipment safely (forklifts, hoists) when performing equipment repairs.
Assist other maintenance team members in training and maintenance preparation.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.
For this Role, You Will Need:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Journeyperson card in Industrial Maintenance or 10 years’ experience in industrial maintenance preferably with CNC machining equipment and mechanical systems.
Experience working with Mechanical, Welding, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Electrical systems.
Experience working in a CMMS environment. Maintenance Connection preferred.
Must have basic computer skills and proficient using computer applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Must be organized and able to work with little supervision.
