Summary
EMH&T is looking for a Civil Engineer Intern, EI to join our growing Transportation Planning and Design team! You will have the opportunity to work under the direction and mentorship of a seasoned Engineer or Project Manager, PE to provide innovative, creative and safe solutions through design support for highway projects, from conception to completion. You will create drawings utilizing Microstation and perform basic engineering calculations on assigned portions of multiple projects; begin to apply engineering education to practical design solutions; assist in plan production tasks, including base mapping, modeling, and detailing; coordinate, communicate and adhere to company and division processes, procedures, standards and the promotion of company culture and core values; and perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Applicants will possess a BS in with a concentration in Transportation Engineering required, FE preferred. Prior work experience in the Civil Engineering Industry is required, including familiarity with CAD and design software, including: MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, GEOPAK, Merlin Dash, MIDAS, AASHTO BrR, Leap Bridge, L-Pile.
