RATE OF PAY: $21.31 – $22.60 or commensurate with experience within grade

POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide staff support to the Land Bank Authority, assist the Treasurer’s office with the foreclosure process, the Principle Residence Exemption Audit and property tax changes. Also assist the cashier/clerk position as requested.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs Land Bank support
- Conducts and reconciles the Principle Residence Exemption Audit
- Daily cash handling and receipt reconciliation
- Prepares documentation for Michigan Tax Tribunal Court cases
- Complex accounting for property tax adjustments and distributions
- Backs up the cashier/clerk position

Proficiency in excel, word processing and publisher. Excellent analytical, audit and investigative skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree in accounting, finance or other relevant degree plan required. Bachelor’s preferred. Five years financial experience required. Experience with Michigan property tax preferred.
