Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients' conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Assist in medical procedures such as suturing and wound care
- Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation
- Provide case management for patients with complex healthcare needs
- Conduct physical examinations and health assessments
- Provide occupational health services, including pre-employment physicals and screenings
Skills:
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting
- Knowledge of medical procedures, including suturing and wound care
- Strong medical documentation skills
- Familiarity with case management principles and practices
- Ability to provide occupational health services, including physical examinations and screenings
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Knowledge of medical coding practices and guidelines
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
