Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Floor Technician to join our team. A Floor Technician at Employers Health is tasked with maintaining the cleanliness of floors at Employers Health office facilities and handling various cleaning and maintenance responsibilities. The duties include cleaning floors of offices, common areas, restrooms and meeting spaces. Through his/her efforts, a floor technician contributes to creating a clean and sanitary environment for all occupants, ensuring the overall functionality of the office.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate janitorial equipment including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers (Tennant T290), carpet cleaners, etc.
- Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and buffing.
- Wash and sanitize restroom facilities.
- Maintain records and cleaning logs to outline daily tasks and materials used.
- Take inventory of cleaning supplies and submit requests when items need to be replenished.
- Perform any other duties assigned.

- None
Skills Required:
- Attention to detail.
- Self-motivated.
- Knowledge of proper and safe use of applicable custodial equipment
- Strong understanding of standard cleaning methods and procedures.
- Time management and multitasking abilities.
- Experience and ability to operate T290 Walk-Behind Scrubber.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Ability to communicate with supervisor and associates about their cleaning concerns.
- Ability to position self to clean office equipment, including under desks.
- Must be able to adhere to process protocol.
- Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate T290 Walk-Behind Scrubber or similar.
Education & Experience Required:
- High school diploma or completion of G.E.D
- At least 2 years of custodial experience
Travel required: None
Typical Workday:
- 6:00pm – 10:00pm M-F
- Availability may vary by organization need (i.e. evening and/or weekend, etc.) and support during EH events)
