Employment Horizons, a nonprofit organization, is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to coordinate the day-to-day human resource functions including the hiring of staff, benefits and leave, training, employee relations, and enforcing agency policies. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of HR compliance, cultural sensitivity, risk assessment, and confidentiality. This position is 40 hours per week.
Salary:: $20-$21/hour
Benefits:: Generous paid time off including 15 holidays, 18 vacation days, and 10 sick days, employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage, up to $9,000 in education assistance, and a 401(k) plan with a 3% company match, among other benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field
- 1 years experience in the human resources field
- Demonstrated knowledge of the recruitment cycle and benefits management
- 1 years experience with employee relations
- Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent listening skills and oral and written communication skills
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Ability to anticipate a problem and develop strategies in advance
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good organization and planning skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
- Valid driver’s license
