EMSL Analytical, Inc., one of the largest environmental testing firms in the United States, is currently seeking a Full Time Microbiology Analyst for its Plymouth Meeting, PA laboratory location. Join our team to support healthy indoor air quality and in helping live and breathe better. EMSL Analytical Inc. is a growing commercial environmental testing laboratory. No laboratory experience is necessary, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees! Experienced Microbiology Analysts are welcomed to apply. Offering competitive pay.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preparing and identifying a variety of environmental samples for fungal structures using optical and phase contrast microscopy. (We do not test clinical samples).
Maintaining quality control records as needed and some clerical work may be involved for data entry.
Requirements:
Associates degree, High School Diploma or GED.
No lab experience is necessary, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common lab procedures. On-the-job training will be provided.
Must be willing to work with microscopes, analytical balances, biological safety cabinets, and learn good lab practices.
Must be able to distinguish colors in order to perform the analysis.
Good computer skills are important for data entry tasks.
Must have attention to detail and be willing to learn analytical skills.
Must be able to work independently and within a team.
Must be able to work under strict timelines in order to and meet our clients’ deadlines.
Available Shift:
Tuesday to Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m..
