Job Overview:
The Catering Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the Catering Director in the seamless execution of events. This hands-on position requires a creative individual with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate versatility in managing multiple tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Coordination:
- Act as the primary point of contact during events, demonstrating leadership as the lead server and ensuring smooth execution.
- Assist in coordinating event schedules and timelines to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services.
- Oversee event set-up, tear-down, and resolution of on-site issues to uphold En Place Catering's standards of excellence.
- Manage inventory and ensure all Front of House (FOH) materials are packed and unpacked appropriately.
Administrative Support:
- Spearhead social media content planning and creation across platforms such as Facebook and Instagram to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Design and produce marketing materials including menus, promotional materials, using tools like Canva to maintain a consistent brand image.
- Write engaging newsletters to keep clients informed about upcoming events and promotions.
- Execute various errands and administrative tasks as needed to support operational efficiency.
Business Development:
- Engage with event planners and businesses to foster relationships and explore collaborative opportunities.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential local partners to expand our network and enhance our offerings.
- Conduct client follow-up to gather feedback and strengthen relationships, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in event coordination or hospitality management preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Proficiency in social media management and graphic design tools such as Canva.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
