Medical Billing Payment Poster

Encompass Medical Group is seeking a full-time Insurance Clerk (Medical Billing Payment Poster) within our Lenexa administrative office. Join our team and share your skills and talents with a leading provider of healthcare services!

Working Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm Mon-Fri

Position Summary:

The Insurance Clerk (Medical Payment Poster) is responsible for posting payments from the insurance companies, all follow-up and correction of claims, and taking phone calls from patients.

Position Accountabilities:

• Re-works claims that have been returned for additional information
• Posts payment information to patient account profile
• Processes refund requests
• Handles all incoming patient calls

Job Specifications:

Minimum Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Medical billing experience or completion of medical billing coursework preferred

Minimum Experience

• 1 year experience of medical billing and insurance posting required
• Experience working in a professional office setting
• Previous experience working with United Healthcare insurance preferred

Job Qualifications:

• Excellent typing skills
• 10-key experience preferred
• Strong customer service background required
• Medical background preferred
• Prior professional working environment experience preferred
• Able to work well in a team setting
• Prior EMR experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

• Some minimal lifting, (less than 10 lbs.), stooping and walking
