The individual will be responsible for the parts/materials procurement and stocking processes, the distribution of parts/materials to area mechanics and customer requests, and all daily parts/materials transactions for the Midland area in a fast-paced environment. The individual will be part of a small team of assigned warehouse personnel related to daily operations of parts/materials department and related inventory management.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and prioritize calls for parts/materials
  • Source, procure, and ship all parts/materials needed, with assistance from the warehouse
  • Create and track approved internal/purchase requisitions for parts, services and expenses
  • As required, purchases stock orders to ensure proper availability of inventory for local demand
  • Obtain pertinent information from suppliers at the time of purchase order issuance to ensure smooth processing according to company policy
  • Clear and timely communication with cross-functional personnel (Operations, AMS, Shops, Management, Accounting), including regarding the status of the parts/materials requested
  • Process all daily paperwork in a timely manner in accordance with supply chain procedures
  • Participate in any cycle counting and physical inventory counting
  • Comply with all applicable safety, environmental, and PPE policies and procedures
  • Maintain good housekeeping in assigned area(s)
  • Handle special projects, as assigned

Qualifications

  • Parts department experience in the compression industry or mechanical service
  • Must be available for on-call parts/materials requests 24/7
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Knowledge of gas compression and related industry equipment preferred
  • Ability to keep detailed records
  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure
  • Forklift operator certification preferred
  • Computer skills – includes Microsoft Office, inventory management systems and multiple warehouses
  • Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • High school degree or experience in the compression industry, mechanical service, or parts purchasing
  • 3-5 years of related experience or a combination of education and required experience

Physical Demands:

  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
  • Operate material handling equipment including hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, delivery vehicle and parts trailer
  • Frequent standing, bending, squatting, climbing, stooping, twisting, reaching, working at elevated heights
  • Will be required to pick up, deliver item to facilities and jobsites. (This may include pulling a parts trailer.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $37.00 per hour
