Encore Semi looking for a Senior Design Engineer with experience on signal communication through High-voltage isolated capacitors to join our new self-powered isolated gate drivers Business Line. The team develops isolated gate drivers that include an optimized power transfer system from primary to secondary. Focus application segments are vehicle electrification, solar energy and datacenter infrastructure.
In this role you will determine the best design and simulation practices, analyze and implement behavioral models to explore design tradeoffs. Strong analog design skills, strong foundation in Semiconductor device physics, Power Management IC know-how and creative problem-solving skills are essential for this position. Candidate should be a quick learner and self-motivated with strong technical and communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this position, you should be able to demonstrate/provide evidence of the following:
- Leading design evaluation and development of architectures and specifications for bidirectional communication across high-voltage isolation boundaries from concept data sheet to production.
- Performing system level analysis and developing architectures to create optimal system implementations.
- Lead the transistor level design phase and mentor junior design engineers in the process.
- Determines design approaches and parameters.
- Validate datasheet specifications via top level simulations.
- Work with layout engineers to ensure designs are efficiently laid out to maximize performance.
- Collaborate with Test, Product Validation and Systems Engineers during silicon evaluation and test development.
- Benches evaluate silicon to debug the design. Evaluate all qualification test results to highlight design shortcomings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSEE, MSEE (preferred) with 15 years of experience in analog/mixed signal IC design
- Knowledge and experience of capacitive and/or magnetic based communication techniques and designs.
- Ownership of analog and mixed-signal circuits used in automotive applications.
- Experience in Common Mode Transient Immunity (CMTI) and development of noise immune circuits.
- Ownership of analog and mixed-signal circuits used in automotive applications.
- Proven track record of bringing products from concept through design and validation and qualification to production.
- Proficient using Cadence design tools.
- Experience in precision Analog CMOS, BiCMOS, Bipolar and DMOS design.
- Mixed Signal design experience.
Salary : $114,000 - $144,000
