Summary of Responsibilities:

This position reports directly to the Assistant General Manager and is responsible for managing the people and equipment associated with the specified commodities; keep operations running in a safe, quality conscience and cost-effective manner, while focusing on systemic root cause and process improvements. This position requires a positive, “can-do” attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, decisiveness, and demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and mentor employees in Engineering (Process, Tooling, Manufacturing, Program Launch, Controls, etc.)
  • Prioritize department objectives and tasks related to field and production needs
  • Support new product launch, tooling, equipment moves, and business transfers
  • Support new programs from the APQP phase through launch and production
  • Provide strategic analysis and tracking of scrap and machine downtime
  • Establish and maintain spare parts
  • Responsible for all pre-launch documentation and PFEMA
  • Provide daily support to technical and operations departments
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Able to maintain confidentiality and use discretion and tact
  • Able to work under the pressure of meeting schedules, personnel issues, production deadlines and managing multiple priorities
  • Able to work flexible and additional hours as required
  • Able to use computer and software as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

Supplemental Pay:

  • Bonus pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Cottondale, AL 35453: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
