Schedule: M-F 7am-3:30pm
Provide mechanical and process engineering expertise to improve quality, efficiency and productivity in the machine shop and finishing area.
Responsible for collecting, interpreting, analyzing quality data in an accurate, thorough, and efficient manner.
Analyze materials, machining requirements, and tolerances from a process and quality standpoint for various CNC machining operations.
Work with manufacturing/design engineering team to resolve issues affecting product quality.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for any process-related quality issues.
Initiate/perform critical inspections/containments to protect customers.
Actively identify and recommend process improvements and enhancements in support of overall continuous improvement.
Work to develop a successful process workflow and adapt to changing conditions.
Provide technical expertise along with creativity and innovation for guiding process improvements and implementing new technology.
Work closely with design engineers and production teams to provide technical expertise in the development and execution of machining projects.
Become familiar with ISO 9001 Forms and Work Instructions.
Maintain awareness of manufacturing, and field quality performance, and incorporate countermeasures in new product designs.
Qualification And Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field . An associate degree in Engineering Technology field with relevant work experience will be considered.
Proficiency in CAD tools, specifically SOLIDWORKS .
Strong understanding of cutting tool materials, geometries, and their applications in various machining operations.
Familiarity with CNC machines, machining principles, and programming .
