Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Oracle Applications Developer to join our team. As an Oracle Applications Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle applications and solutions. Your primary focus will be on customizing, extending, and enhancing Oracle applications to meet the specific business requirements of our organization. This role will require hands-on work as well as strategic thinking and collaboration inside and outside the department.
Essential Job Functions:
- Collaborate with business analysts, functional consultants, and end users to gather requirements and understand business needs.
- Document technical specifications, design documents, and code changes to ensure proper knowledge transfer and maintain system documentation.
- Design and develop Oracle applications using Oracle Application Framework (OAF), Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and other Oracle development tools.
- Experience with Oracle Application Express (APEX) for developing web-based applications and interactive reports
- Customize and extend Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) modules, such as Financials, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, and Cash Management, to meet specific business requirements.
- Develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers for data manipulation and business logic implementation.
- Create and modify Oracle workflows, alerts, and notifications to automate business processes.
- Perform unit testing, system integration testing, and support user acceptance testing for Oracle applications and solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Oracle applications with other enterprise systems and third-party applications.
- Stay up to date with Oracle application development best practices, new features, and emerging technologies in the Oracle ecosystem.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience as an Oracle Applications Developer or similar role, with a strong understanding of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle development tools.
- Proficiency in Oracle Application Express (APEX), OAF, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle Workflow, and Oracle PL/SQL.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle EBS data structures, modules, and underlying technology components.
- Experience in customizing and extending Oracle EBS modules to meet specific business requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex business processes and provide technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet project deadlines.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices
Education:
- 4-year bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 7 years working experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience operating with Oracle E- Business Suite (version 11 or 12).
Experience Preferred/Other Qualifications:
- Expert writing SQL and PL/SQL code.
- Experience with Oracle Application Express (APEX) required.
- Demonstrated experience with Oracle APIs, Open Interfaces, Oracle Workflows, and BI Publisher.
- Working knowledge of JSON, XML, SOAP, and REST APIs preferred.
- A basic understanding of shell scripting is required.
- GitHub and GitHub Actions experience a plus.
- Experience in automating Oracle application code deployments is a plus.
Physical Job Requirements and Working Conditions:
- EMC is a collaborative working environment, and this role requires the candidate to be onsite in our Corporate Headquarters at least 4 days per week.
