What Would you do?
- Coordinate and prioritize all incoming facility maintenance requests and assess repairs as needed.
- Performs a variety of routine and semi-skilled tasks such as general maintenance of facilities, equipment, and grounds
- Responsible for contracting, planning, scheduling and monitoring the building maintenance functions for the cooperative.
- Conduct maintenance assessments all campuses; track metrics and documents for continuous improvement assessments.
- Provide input, coordination and inspection of the job performance of outside contractors and vendors.
- Focus on being proactive and optimizing contractor productivity while minimizing downtime.
- Perform preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and makes routine repairs such as minor plumbing and / or electrical-related repairs.
- Accompany contractors / vendors while on company property and discuss details for repair to ensure accurate quotes for services.
- Coordinate emergency and / or after-hours facility repairs and provide timely, effective communication to management on repair progress.
- Assist with process mapping and data collection for optimal standardization of facility equipment.
- Provide guidance on improving preventive maintenance.
What do you need?
- High school graduate with 10 or more years of facilities’ maintenance experience. A two-year technical degree with five years of experience preferred in HVAC and electrical, or a combination of relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain HVAC certification within a specified time frame.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, General Contracting, National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and electric utility safety rules and regulations.
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License with good driving record.
More about this position :
- Normal hours are 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm, M-F. Subject to call-out for facilities’ emergencies at all hours and in all weather conditions.
- This position reports to our Statesville location, but travel is required between company locations.
- Position requires that the employee lives or is willing to relocate within one of the nineteen counties served by the Cooperative or within 40 miles to any EnergyUnited EMC office.
