Position Overview:
Engineering Industries eXcellence is seeking a full-time PLM Principal Solution Architect with experience in Siemens Teamcenter to complement our growing team. This position offers experience throughout the entire software life cycle while working directly with some of the biggest manufacturing enterprises in the world. In this position, candidates will engage customers to determine software needs, design and develop appropriate solutions, and assist in the deployment and support of Product Life-cycle Management solutions.
As a Principal Solution Architect, you are part of the professional solution team where you provide support and advanced technical expertise for projects throughout the project lifecycle (including implementation /installation, configuration, testing, training delivery, deployment, production support). In this position, you will engage customers to determine software needs, design and develop appropriate solutions, provide regular status reports for updating the customer and assist in the deployment and support of Product Life-cycle Management solutions. This position offers experience throughout the entire software life cycle while working directly with a variety of some of the biggest manufacturing enterprises in the world.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain effective relationships with internal customers and technical peers to support effective delivery
- Work with Pre-Sales and Account Managers on opportunities.
- Provide information and feedback to internal customers in a timely, accurate and appropriate manner, as required by defined project activities, ensuring that key messages are communicated effectively
- Design and develop the context of the project, its key deliverables and engagement model.
- Design and develop assigned project tasks and the delivery to the work stream
- Provide accurate and timely information to technical team lead or project management team as required
- As required, contribute to the generation of the relevant level of project documentation in line with Project Management Methodology
- Responsible for successful quality and phase gate reviews
- Responsible for successful review of technical implementation experiences with project delivery team, capturing and sharing lessons learned as part of the project review and close activities
- Responsible for social commentary and share experiences to support organizations knowledge sharing initiatives
- Develop/maintain an understanding of latest technical and industry trends.
- Keep up to date with Best Practices and methods within own area of specialism, and apply these in everyday role
- Support internal process and artifact improvement for successful implementations
- Willingness to operate in a player/coach capacity with a passion for mentoring and training consultants.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, or equivalent years of experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in Siemens Teamcenter
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of Teamcenter Installation and Infrastructure
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of Teamcenter Active Workspace
- Strong Knowledge and hands-on experience of Teamcenter Active Integration Gateway (T4x)
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of Teamcenter data model
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of Teamcenter Product Structure Management
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of Teamcenter Change Management
- Other Teamcenter Configurations: Workflows, Access Manager, Queries, Classification, Organization, etc.
- Knowledge of NX CAD/CAM
- Product Configurator
