Title: Supplier Development Manager - Aerospace Manufacturing

Responsibilities:
- Supplier Sourcing and Qualification:
- Identify and source new suppliers to meet the company's evolving needs and objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers capable of meeting quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, performance, and financial stability to ensure alignment with company standards.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier inquiries, concerns, and negotiations.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues, improve performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supplier Development and Training:
- Work closely with suppliers to enhance their capabilities, processes, and quality management systems.
- Provide guidance and support to suppliers in implementing industry best practices and achieving compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to address specific areas of improvement and promote mutual growth and success.
- Supplier Performance Monitoring:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure supplier performance.
- Monitor supplier performance against established benchmarks and take proactive measures to address any deviations or deficiencies.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Supplier Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within the supplier base and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor geopolitical, economic, and industry trends that may impact supplier stability and continuity of supply.
- Implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions and maintain business continuity in the event of supplier-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in supplier development, sourcing, or supplier relationship management within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate supplier capabilities, assess performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed to meet with suppliers, attend industry events, and conduct supplier assessments.
- Knowledge of aerospace industry standards, regulations, and quality management systems is preferred.
