Position Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director and Care Services Manager, the Resident Care Partner is responsible for assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (iADLs), providing general supervision, and respecting residents' rights and needs of choice.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
· Assists residents with ADLs and iADLs including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, transferring, and eating in accordance with each resident’s individual care plan and task sheets
· Serves meals to residents in the dining room or apartments daily
· Documents and notifies community leadership team of any changes of resident’s physical conditions and behaviors in accordance with Enlivant policies and procedures
· Assists Life Enrichment Coordinator in facilitating resident activities as they are scheduled
· Performs general housekeeping and resident laundry
· Takes resident’s vital signs when appropriate
· Builds meaningful relationships with residents through day-to-day interactions
· Follows Enlivant reporting guidelines involving resident abuse, neglect, exploitation, and other incidents
· Performs other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
· Position requires constant seeing, touching, feeling, grasping, talking, hearing, smelling, standing, reaching, and walking
· Position requires the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds regularly
· Position requires frequent reading, writing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
· High School Diploma (or equivalent) or 1-2 years of experience in assisted living or long term care
· Must meet, have, or be eligible to obtain all applicable state requirements and certifications
· Basic written and oral English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
· Certified Nursing Assistant (or assisted living equivalent)
· 3 to 6 months of related experience and/or training in direct personal care
· Experience interacting with individuals diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease
Other Working Conditions
· Must be able to work a flexible schedule to ensure community needs are met (may include on-call, evening, and weekend availability)
· Must be able to have compassionate interactions with residents, family members, and employees
· Position may also require exposure to latex, infections, illnesses, and communicable diseases
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
