The System Integration and Test Engineer will provide LOE (Level of Effort) technical expertise which includes knowledge of the Enroute Domain of Air Traffic Systems and the missioned systems used for air traffic control. The candidate will provide support on the ERAM/DC project in support of the below efforts:
-Development/test/validation of I&T scenarios
-Development of test plans/procedures
-Test Execution in the Lab
-Data analysis necessary to verify PR fixes
-IT status reporting
Other related tasks as requested:
-Debug and resolve/identify software and system issues, working across the various system functions and threads
-Write tools/productivity aids to help manage the various systems
-Create scripts/tools to automate log analysis and system recovery actions
-Problem Determination (PD) and Data Reduction & Analysis (DR&A)

The Air Traffic Control Subject Matter Expert (ATC SME) shall provide Air Traffic Advocate level of representation to the ERAM and DataComm Test Engineering Organization. Support will include test experience for system integration and formal testing, proven System Engineering skills (SW, CAS and HW), Strong Problem determination skills, and ability to solve engineering issues in complex systems, ability to provide Data Reduction & Analysis for the test/lab activities. Also, must have knowledge/experience in ERAM, Air Traffic Controller skills and some of the FAA external interfaces (ARTS, ATOP, FDIO, HADDS, WMCSR, WARP, WINS, NADIN, RADAR, ADSB, DSP, SWIM, and NADIN Non-Us (CAATS/EURO)).
The Air Traffic Control Subject Matter Expert (ATC SME) shall also provide general support for System Integration and Test activities in relation to testing the interconnectivity and functionality of the FAA external interfaces into existing and proposed Air Traffic Control Systems. Support will include test experience for system integration and formal testing, proven System Engineering skills (SW, CAS, and HW), Strong Problem Determination skills, and ability to solve engineering issues in complex systems, ability to provide Data Reduction & Analysis for the test/lab activities and Air Traffic controller understanding. Support will include knowledge of FAA interfacing systems and the development of test procedures.
Candidates shall provide the appropriate technical expertise to support the program in accomplishing the items identified below.
Skills
At a minimum, the System Integration and Test Engineering candidate shall have the following skill/experience level:
-Good communication and interpersonal skills
-Demonstrated technical integration skills in prior work performed
-Understanding of Linux, AIX, or other UNIX type operating system
-Test or similar technical experience working with complex systems
-Demonstrated success working in a team-oriented environment
-Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
Additionally, the following skills(s) experiences are preferred:
-ERAM/DataComm Project experience
-Knowledge of deploying of Air Traffic Control Systems
-Knowledge and understanding of how to test complex systems
-Experience preparing test plans & procedures
-Experience in lab test execution
-FAA Air Traffic Domain knowledge
-The ATC SME candidate shall have the following skill/experience level:
-Experience separating aircraft working on the floor of any of the 20 enroute center.
-Minimum of five (5) years of air traffic controller experience
-Understanding of ATC System Design and its use in the management of airspace, adaptation, and general operations
-Detailed knowledge of today's air traffic control system
-Strong/Proven Problem Determination skills
-ERAM experience
Additionally, the following skill(s)/experience will be preferred.
-DataComm experience
-Approximately 3-5 years of complete software development lifecycle experience
-System Integration or Integration and Test experience
-Experience preparing test plans & procedures
-Experience in lab test execution
-Software language: strong working knowledge and experience with Ada83/95 development along with a working knowledge of C, C , or strong working knowledge of UNIX/IBM's RS/6000 AIX
-internals
-Development in UNIX/Linux environment, preferably in IBM's RS/6000 AIX
-Good communication and interpersonal skills
