Summary:
Seeking a Test Engineer with experience in medical device development, testing, and documentation to join an R&D Systems Engineering team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute and document system tests.
- Author test reports and route documents for approval.
- Communicate test-related activities and results with multi-disciplinary team members.
- Create quality and safety-related documentation to support the validity of tests.
- Perform gauge repeatability and reproducibility studies.
- Provide input to engineers to assist in the development of test protocols and prototype builds.
- Perform mechanical and electrical testing to evaluate new and existing products.
- Generate and analyze test data, and report results per departmental procedures.
- Prepare and operate various lab equipment such as Instron mechanical testers, visual inspection tools, and autoclaves.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum one year of experience in medical device product development or equivalent.
- Understanding of test methods for verifying product requirements.
- Experience using Instron mechanical tester, oscilloscope, force gauges, and LabVIEW.
- Familiarity with basic statistics and use of Minitab.
- Experience in a STEM field, particularly within a regulatory and quality assurance framework.
Preferred Skills:
- Robotics experience.
- Recent graduate with a BSEE, Biomedical, or ME degree who has completed an internship in the medical device sector.
Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
