Entegris is seeking an Operations Training Coordinator for our Burnet, Texas location. The Training Coordinator creates, updates, and maintains documentation to ensure each employee in the department has completed all the necessary training, and supports Entegris' internal audit programs. The Training Coordinator supports the site management team by assigning training to new hires and ensuring adequate training schedules are set. The Training Coordinator also tracks and provide periodic reports on the training status of factory personnel, to include summary reports on late, upcoming, expired, and failed training. The training coordinator will be responsible for implementing a train-the-trainer program for leads/supervisors. This position will be part of our vessel Refurbishment team and will work cross-functionally on that team as well as own documentation and improvements.
- Map out annual training plans for management, HR, customer support and more
- Design and develop training programs (outsourced and/or in-house)
- Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g., simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes)
- Market available training to employees and provide necessary information about sessions
- Conduct organization-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.
- Develop qualification criteria that is capable of meeting or exceeding the specified work requirements.
- Identify and implement training tools that enhances competencies, abilities, behaviors, knowledge, and skills that impact the success of employees and the organization.
- Tests specific knowledge, skills, or competencies associated with learning outcome
- Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors.
- Use known education principles and stay up to date on new training methods and techniques.
- Present information with a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.
- Research and recommend new training methods, like gamification
- Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials
- Monitor, evaluate, and record training activities or program effectiveness.
- Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs through improving work instructions, SOPs, and area documentation.
- Improving and streamlining onboarding and new hire training driving towards employee certifications.
- Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session
- Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding instructional design
- Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
- Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts
- Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
- Participates in Management of Change (MOC) reviews pertaining to instrumentation and calibration, completes associated actions, and ensures timely and thorough closeouts of overall MOC processes.
- Training point of contact for all site audits.
- Continue to build and improve the training program, Certification and De-Certification as necessary.
- Conduct Internal audits for Refrub Team.
- Become cross functional in all areas of the Refurb Team.
- Own Refurb documentation and continuous updates for that documentation.
- Other duties and projects as required by the Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator, or similar role
- Manufacturing, Mechanical or Chemical handling experience
- Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
- Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
- Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
- Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
- Experience with e-learning platforms
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Skills and experience in SAP preferred.
- Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
- Strong communication skills
- General familiarity with ISO 9001
- General familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 5S
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
