The primary function of this position is for lays out, fits and welds fabricated components to assembly structures forms, such as machinery frames, tanks, and parts according to prints and knowledge of welding metallurgy. Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal shrinkage and welding techniques. May operate other equipment such as overhead crane, forklift, high lift, crane truck.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include all or some of the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Welding and fabrication of 316L SS tanks
QualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Class 5 welding certification and at least five years of experience in welding and fabrication environment. Welding and fabrication of Tank building is a plus. TIG, MIG & Stick Welding skills preferred.

Language skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced algebra, trigonometry. Ability to work with concepts such as limits, engineering equations. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
