Summary
The Quality and Office Manager has a dual responsibility of ensuring products manufactured at the location are safe and comply with all company, customer, and regulatory requirements and ensure office organization and compliance at the Enterprise-CP Cando, ND pasta plant. They will lead the site team in developing and maintaining a culture of best-in-class quality through their influence and coaching. The Office and Quality Manager will work with the Long Prairie, MN Director Quality and Tech Service and leadership to implement quality systems and initiatives related to the production, packaging, receipt, storage, and release of food products manufactured within the facility. In addition to these responsibilities, the individual will also be responsible for assisting and supporting HR with various personnel functions including onboarding, employee benefits enrollment, employee relations, safety and training. They must establish relationships with not only her/his direct reports but within all departments in the organization to effectively cultivate a culture in which safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.
Key Job Duties:
- Responsible for all aspects of company Quality Assurance in compliance with local, state, and federal food safety standards.
- Helps to develop and maintain a culture in which quality production is top priority and a spirit of continuous improvement is fostered.
- Monitors performance across production areas and works with plant management to improve performance on a continual basis in response to risk assessment process, testing of incoming ingredients, outgoing products, observations and/or incidents.
- Assists with the delivery of company production of consistent and measurable high-quality standards.
- Implements programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory and 3rd party industry standards (e.g. FDA, SQF, etc.).
- Leads SQF initiatives as well as on-going continuous improvement efforts including facilitating, organizing, training and advising.
- Maintains, monitors, reviews, and implements GMPs and SOPS to ensure highest quality products and plant environment.
- Leads customer, 3rd Party and regulatory audits.
- Escalates any quality control and food safety issues to senior management and presents plausible solutions.
- Maintains current knowledge of trends and changes affecting food safety and develops, recommends, and implements appropriate program additions and changes.
- Leads response to customers, inspectors, and auditors.
- Responsible for developing and implementing an effective internal audit program and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
- Develops employees’ plant-wide through training and creation of over-all quality awareness.
- Maintain organization of the production, office, and employee records.
- Coordinate communication between management and office and production floor personnel.
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activity such as training and performance evaluations.
- Compile and update employee records in files.
- Plays an active role on quality management teams within the organization.
- Develop and establish a Continuous Improvement plan and annual goals for the QA program based off trending of complaints, audits, etc.
- Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required.
- Responsible for ensuring the work area is clean and organized.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision and as a member of a team.
- Strictly adhere to all Safety policies.
Qualifications:
- 3 years or more of SQF experience is preferred.
- 1 year or more of administrative office management experience is preferred.
- High-energy, flexible, self-starter, hands on, comfortable with little or no administrative support.
· Attention to detail and drive for process improvement.
· Excellent oral and written skills.
· A desire to succeed and good work ethics are required.
· Team player with a sense of urgency and a self-accountability mentality.
· A passion for excellence.
· Familiarity with GFSI and other regulatory and industry guidelines and requirements.
· 2 years’ experience in a production or manufacturing environment
· B.S. or B.A. in Food Science or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
- Must possess the knowledge and understanding of basic math skills including weight calculations, averages and percentages.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel, have working knowledge in PowerPoint. Access knowledge a plus.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- 70% of work is performed in an office setting
- 30% of work is performed in a manufacturing/lab environment
- Ability to sit, stand and bend
- Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
