Environmental Air Systems – The United States’ Premier Mechanical Contractor and manufacturer of custom off-site HVAC construction – is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team in Browns Summit, North Carolina. In this role you will supervise a team of 20 to 30 employees at our manufacturing plant.
The Superintendent / Supervisor directs the manufacturing of the department, assuring timely and efficient production HVAC structural frames. Additionally, the Superintendent / Supervisor will foster a culture of open communication and continuous improvement. The Superintendent / Supervisor will also be responsible for keeping both management and employees informed on the status of operations and progress towards production goals.

Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety, quality, and housekeeping.
- Monitor employee productivity.
- Provide positive feedback and constructive coaching and counseling when needed.
- Monitor employee time and record keeping.
- Prepare and submit production reports daily.
- Comply with manufacturing build schedules.
- Increase production output through lean principles.
- Manage employee hours to fulfill orders under budget.
- Review drawings to ensure production feasibility.
- Build a High Performing Team.
- Able to effectively troubleshoot and permanently solve production issues.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supervision.
- Understanding of manufacturing process flow, identifying bottlenecks and constraints.
- Knowledge of welding, structural steel processes, and pipe installation is a plus.
- Can work independently without supervision and in a team environment.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in email, spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software.
- Must be hands-on. Will spend 90% of time on the production floor.
Education:
- Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
- Trade School completion (preferred).
Job Requirements/Special Skills:
- Requires working in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push and pull throughout the shift.
Schedule: 1st Shift (6:00am-4:30pm), 4-6 days a week.
