What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodial Supervisor position at Environmental Service Partners, LLC?
Shifts are Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 12:30am
Part I: Position Summary
The Custodial Supervisor will be responsible to plan, coordinate, and implement all custodial activities. This position also trains custodial staff, inspects facilities for cleanliness and safety.
Part II: Supervision and Controls over the Work:
Work is performed under the direction of the Project Manager who schedules and assigns work and sets operating priorities and provides direction in difficult or unusual situations. Once assignment and direction is received, employee performs the tasks with no supervision.
Part III: Major Duties and Responsibilities (depending on specific assignment – duties and
responsibilities listed may include, but are not limited to the following):
1. In conjunction with the Project Manager, plan, develop, and coordinate the custodial services.
2. Work with the Project Manager, principals and other administrators regarding custodial service matters.
3. Maintain close liaison with principals and facility administrators on custodial issues and evaluations.
4. Establish standards for and approve purchases of supplies, equipment and machinery; approve custodial requisitions for purchase of supplies.
5. Recommend projected needs for custodial personnel, supplies and equipment for health care.
6. Develop program for testing of custodial equipment, supplies and cleaning methods and minor repairs to custodial equipment.
7. Maintains stock levels, determines custodial supply needs and places orders. Coordinates delivery of supplies to custodians.
8. Ensure that proper care and maintenance of all custodial equipment and supplies is carried out in each building.
9. Reviews, evaluates and updates the plan for each custodial area assignment, and the work schedule for each building. Makes and/or recommends deletions or changes, etc. for acceptable cleaning standards to building administrators.
10. Inspects each facility on a periodic basis and conducts on–site performance evaluation of all custodial shifts. Makes recommendations, submits results to Project Manager and building administrator and follows up on inspection concerns.
11. Work with operations and facilities department personnel as required.
12. Performs other duties as assigned consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
Part IV: Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Three years of Supervisory experience.
3. Must be in good health.
4. Ability to work under pressure.
5. Must be able to do extraordinary amount of walking during daily duties.
6. Must be able to safely lift and/or handle items weighing up to 60 pounds.
7. Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally.
8. Ability to work safely and comfortably at heights of up to 50 feet.
