JOB DETAILS
Superintendents assume the role of the primary customer contact. The general responsibilities are to coordinate and manage internal and external resources as needed in order to deliver flawless execution of projects. The ultimate goal of a Superintendent/Project Manager is to satisfy the customer while delivering projects on-time, within scope and within budget.
This role will work mostly in the Fredericksburg, VA area and have trips to the Richmond, VA office often.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for managing residential and commercial stone installations.
- Management of company date system for stone production, material availability, delivery, and billing.
- Develop and maintain good working relationship with customers and manufacturing facilities.
- Bid input for estimating labor costs, equipment needs, timing, scope review.
- Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to define the work scope.
- Manage project budget and allowances.
- Coordinate and develop internal schedules to meet project requirements.
- Determine the monthly schedule of values for invoicing customers.
- Investigate job problems and assist in claims management to determine a course of action.
- Installation spec compliance for project and code.
- Verifying customer date requirements throughout the order’s life cycle and recognize scheduling conflicts in advance to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Respond to builder changes to order scope, services, dates, cancellations, pricing, and communicating the same to any affected internal personnel.
- Attend job site meetings.
- Be proactive in identifying problems in schedules and/or order entry that would cause delays in the customer’s desired ship date.
- Achieve accountability for all pricing issues from order entry to final pricing. Documenting and communicating all pricing changes.
- Promptly returning calls, e-mails and other correspondence that may originate from customers, subcontractors, installers, outside sales or manufacturing when they require assistance.
- Make it a priority to advance the capabilities of those you work with that are lesser experienced while learning from those with more experience.
- Working the hours needed to move forward to meet the required deadline.

- Bid estimates, material ordering, scheduling and installation of residential stonework
Qualifications
- 3 years of project management experience required.
- Commercial construction experience required, experience working with similar product preferred.
- Travel to jobsites to review and resolve project issues
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle and prioritize urgent requests and multiple projects required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
- Individual with entrepreneurial spirit and competitive drive that can contribute valuable skills and perspectives to a team effort
- Must be self-disciplined and have strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to exercise good judgment in decision-making process required.
- Self-starter who can work independently and multi-task required.
