We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced VP of Operations!
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for managing the hands-on operational aspects of the Women’s & Children’s Services Division, reporting to the Service Line Executive Leader (SLEL). The VP of Operations is responsible for all functions related to and participating with key leaders and Physicians in the administration of day-to-day practice operations and growth opportunities. Through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the SLEL and the objectives of company, the VP of Operations provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper people, processes and technology in place to effectively manage and grow the service line.
Provide day-to-day leadership and practice management to administrative services organization that supports the physicians and others in the assigned region- Responsible for strategic planning, monitoring and execution of metrics to ensure revenue, profitability, cash flow, business goals and objectives throughout the company’s operations are achieved.
- Work with Corporate Compliance to implement and monitor quarterly compliance audits, provider training and supporting policies and procedures to maintain OIG compliance in all aspects of revenue management
- Responsible for effectiveness of internal and external processes.
- Oversees development of timely, accurate and complete reports on operating condition of the company.
- Leads the negotiation of hospital contracts and the daily coordination and management of operational issues with both hospital administration, operators and providers
- Spearhead development, communication and implementation of growth strategies and processes.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure of operating systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate organizational growth.
- Assist the SLEL to develop Managed Care contracting strategy and monitor payer compliance
- Attract, recruit, retain, motivate and lead operations team
- Mentor team; responsible for career development.
- Help foster a success-oriented, accountable company culture.
- Responsible for evaluating, selecting, implementing, enhancing and expanding new practice management systems to service more providers.
- Develops and maintains understanding of Financial Reporting and operation of assigned divisions, including presentations and communications with physicians.
- Develops and maintains full understanding of hospital department operations.
- Key participant in developing responses to RFP’s and presenting proposals.
- Works in conjunction with the SLEL to develop new business, grow current business and expand business lines.
- Represent the organization with customers, shareholders, and business partners.
- Assist with special projects as directed.
- Maintain strictest confidentiality.
- Mentor employees, conduct performance evaluations, counsel and provide disciplinary actions to assigned personnel, and works to facilitate individual and team development that drives positive results.

- Reads and abides by the company’s code of conduct, ethics statements, employee handbook(s), policies and procedures and other corporate mandates, including participation in mandatory training programs
- Reports any real or suspected violation of the corporate compliance program, company policies and procedures, harassment or other prohibited activities in accordance with the reporting policies of the company
- Obtains clarification of policy whenever necessary and may use the resources available through the Compliance, Human Resources or Legal Department to do so

Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting, billing, collections, banking/ finance and/or process management.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work cooperatively with physicians, all staff members and external customers. Must have a pleasant disposition and high tolerance level for diverse personalities.
- Strong leadership, management and organizational skills.
- Understanding of healthcare trends and their relationship to Women’s & Children’s Care.
- Strong personal computer skills including mastery of Microsoft Office products and data base programs.
- Able to juggle multiple projects, accustomed to tight deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with presentations to senior management, boards, community groups, physicians and staff.
- Self-motivated; ability to work without direct supervision.
- Ability to integrate and harmonize diversified functions.
- Understanding, influencing, and serving others are importing attributes of this position.
- Must be able to select, develop, and motivate people, and create a positive work environment.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills; able to resolve problems quickly and effectively.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in business, healthcare administration or relevant field, and/or Equivalent work experience.
- Minimum ten (10) years of healthcare management experience in multi-state integrated emergency care system, integrated hospital delivery system or multi state medical group of $5000 million revenues including extensive experience in contract negotiations and with managed care models within a complex organization.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience managing healthcare operation staff.
