JHOTEL is searching for an excellent sales professional with a proven track record in hospitality sales to serve as a BTS Corporate Sales Manager for our dynamic hotel! We are searching for a Corporate Sales Manager to join our team with your expertise and professional approach to handle the RFP process and corporate groups.

This challenging but rewarding position has overall responsibility ensuring extraordinary guest satisfaction through the cleanliness and attention to detail in our guest rooms, meeting space and common areas. We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals. Come join our team!

Responsibilities:

· Ability to: Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy. Prioritize, organize and follow up. Be a clear thinker, remaining calm in resolving problems using good judgment. Follow directions thoroughly. Understand guests’ needs. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Work with minimal supervision. Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team. Maintain confidentiality of guest and associate’s information and pertinent hotel data. Ascertain position training needs and accomplish such training. Direct development and performance of staff; follow up with corrections when needed. Work well under pressure of organizing and attaining production schedules and timelines. Give credit and highlight others’ success.

· Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental, divisional, and hotel policies, procedures, and standards.

· Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.

· Anticipate guests’ needs and respond promptly to guests’ requests.

· Maintain positive guest relations at all times.

· Resolve guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.

· Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.

· Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.

· Review the daily activities, such as House count, forecasted covers for each outlet, Catering activity, Purchases, Meetings, Appointments & VIPs/special guests.

· Return business telephone calls. Answer correspondence.

· Assist in achieving or exceeding budgeted goals in sales, profit, and occupancy for the total hotel operation.

· Maintain positive working relationships with the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, Chambers and Associations staffs, as well as all lead sources.

· Plan and execute cost-effective and productive sales trips into the assigned territory to improve and increase our penetration of that market.

· Qualification and solicitation of existing and new accounts through Personal visits, Telephone calls, Written Correspondence, Participation in promotional events, Participation in industry and community events, as well as trade shows, Travel to industry events and sales calls

· Promptly respond (within one business day) to all inquiries, prospects, and tentative or definite business.

· Interact with customers during meetings or conventions on the property through Personal welcome, Periodic contact, Exit interview for referrals, Participation in pre- and post-convention meetings.

· Regular contact with future definite meetings.

· Review meeting quotas, goals and forecasts for quality and quantity of room nights.

· Update and maintain recording system including Creation of files, Maintenance of file system, following policies and procedures in detail with respect to files and appropriate forms (Definite, Booking Summary, Booking Recaps with memos and comments, and the log of calls, etc. filled out properly and completely)

· Be able to enter and retrieve all appropriate information from the Property Management System and Reservation System.

· Maximize occupancy and average rate of the hotel through creative and selective selling.

· Report on trends in the industry and local markets.

· Budget and plan cost-effective and productive sales trips 45 days prior to executing your trip.

· Accurately forecast all strong tentative and definite groups on an ongoing basis, paying particular attention to the forecasted average rate, comp units forecasted, and accurate room night forecast based on history.

· Maintain a calendar allowing you to meet all established deadlines and planned sales trips.

· Maintain up to date information on all new and ongoing leads and accounts, including solicitation efforts and traces on all accounts.

· Plan and execute cost-effective and productive sales trips into your assigned territory, to improve and increase our penetration of that market. Trips to be scheduled in conjunction with established show dates of other events.

· Contact and entertain clients – not only during their site visits, but also while groups are in-house, and through invitations to contacts within the area. All clients in-house will be visited twice daily.

· Work with Director of Sales and General manager to help establish budget and forecast.

· Negotiate and capture all profitable Transient, Group and Corporate business in accordance with corporate approved selling guidelines.

· Involved in strategic planning with DOS, GM and Above Property Support group.

· Attend weekly revenue calls and participate in business cases and RFP’s.

· Develop and implement targeted sales initiatives designed to penetrate specific market segments, key accounts or designated time periods.

· Correspond with potential customers providing any requested information concerning bids, proposals, confirmation of bookings, thank you letters, follow-up letters and more so.

· Maintain and execute quarterly Key Sales Objectives.

· Effectively present information on a one-on-one and in a group setting.

· STR weekly analysis, and work together with GM on a weekly basis, prepare RFP Pricing.

· Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
