EPIC Summer Internship – Insurance Brokerage
JOB DESCRIPTION:
EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants has nationwide presence with a depth of industry expertise across key lines of insurance, including commercial property and casualty, employee benefits, unique specialty program insurance, and private client services. We are seeking ambitious junior or senior college students who are interested in pursuing a career in the insurance brokerage business to participate in our internship program. The paid internship will go through run for approximately ten weeks. Chosen candidates will be working on our Public Library Specialty Program and will be asked to provide assistance on special projects from our Assistants Team.
LOCATION:
- Melville, NY-in office
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Research prospective clients, coverages, and carriers
- Review policies
- Provide support in completing new and renewal client paperwork
- Assist with invoicing and certificates
- Update the Agency Management System
- Participate in conference calls with clients and underwriters
- Attend luncheon presentations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Rising Junior or Senior college students
- Strong computer skills including MS office suite, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be detail oriented
- Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to learn
