EPIC Fuels is a global supplier of fuels and services to FBOs, commercial airlines, airports, ground fueling operators, the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and other government agencies around the world. Our largest customers include Fortune 500 flight departments, top-tier FBOs, major airlines, charter and cargo operators as well as all branches of the U.S. military. In addition, EPIC Fuels offers aviation fuel cards, including its proprietary EPIC Card, for all fuel purchases and ancillary services. The EPIC Card is accepted both in and out of network, at over 8,000 locations worldwide. The company also issues co-branded aviation fuel cards and provides data services, including level 3 data, to the payment card industry.
Role Summary
The Sales Manager helps the company to meet customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. This position is responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, crafting sales plans and justifying those plans to upper management. The Sales Manager will be primarily responsible for the GA sales team’s development of new partnerships with general aviation fuel customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, other duties may be assigned:
· Visit and build relationships with the existing customers and prospective customers
· Network and support the existing customers with available programs
· Achieve annual sales volume and net income growth for the region
· Provide superior customer service, integrity, and trust
· Provide service flexibility and understanding of the customer’s business and unique requirements
· Assure the new accounts are established accurately, completely and in a timely manner
· Maintain an autonomous regional office, where necessary, to effectively service the region
· Write and submit annual budgets and marketing plans for the region
· Collect marketing intelligence and adjust marketing and sales efforts accordingly
· Build relationships with airport managers, state agencies, and industry suppliers
· Keep accurate and easy to audit records pertaining to customer database and business expenses
· Stay current with technical changes and continuing education when applicable
· Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
· Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
· Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
· Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales.
· Represents company at trade association meetings to promote services.
· Delivers sales presentations to key clients.
· Meets with key clients, maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
· Coordinates liaison between sales department and other departments.
· Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
· Assists other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
· Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
· Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from a four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Aviation industry experience is required. Must have previous selling experience. Must possess strong written, communication and interpersonal relationship skills. Must be strong analytically and advance skills with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Must be able to work well under pressure in a project environment.
Travel
Must be willing and able to regularly travel (40-50%) away from the home or corporate office.
Location
The individual will have an office in the individual’s home. Must reside in the North East territory (Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont).
