What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Technician position at EPS 1?
LAB TECHNICIAN:
The position consists of weighing out the proper amounts needed to manufacture marijuana edibles and packaging cannabis joints. Weighing out marijuana for pre-rolled joints is a very detail-oriented, precise, and repetitive job. It requires passion for the industry, a positive attitude, and the ability to follow direction very closely. You must be able to handle critique, have strong hand-eye coordination, and be able to improve your quality and speed as you learn. Attendance and flexibility are also extremely important within this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working with the edible and pre-rolled joint teams you will weigh out different strains of cannabis efficiently and in a timely manner with repetitive hand motions. You must be able to lift up to fifty pounds, and you must be willing to sit or stand for long periods of time. Aside from working with trim, you will be required to work with machinery, maintain precise and accurate numbers, keep a clean work space, and have a high level of attention to detail.
HEALTH AND SAFETY:
Cannabis workers can be exposed to mold, sensitizers/allergens, Co2, pesticides, occupational injuries (cuts), chemical exposure and machinery. Please make sure you are wearing your face mask, gloves, scrubs, hairnets/beard nets and foot covers at all times. There will be no food, smoking or exposed beverages allowed in the facility.

Experience: experience using weight scales and lab equipment, rolling joints & working with marijuana is a plus.
