Vice President of Underwriting and Risk

This role will report to the Chief Technology and Operating Officer and is responsible for driving the development and execution of innovative strategies to support our merchants and partners. The role is based out of headquarters in Melville, NY.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and implement policies and procedures for the App Processing, Underwriting, and Risk departments.
• Manage and monitor the chargeback processing, ACH rejects, and merchant funds management processes.
• Strategize and execute plans for revenue growth by leveraging opportunities in the Underwriting and Risk policies.
• Actively manage, develop, and inspire the App Processing and Risk team members.
• Manage and measure the capacity and data quality in the App Processing workflow.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees, ensuring they understand their role and performance benchmarks.
• Ensure high-quality services are delivered to all sales partners and merchants by implementing best practices and maintaining stringent service quality standards.
• Monitor team performance against set metrics and goals, identifying areas of improvement and implementing necessary changes.
• Perform analysis and develop reporting.

QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS WE LOOK FOR

• Extensive experience in both Underwriting and Risk leadership roles within the merchant services industry.
• Payments acquiring industry regulatory and compliance expertise.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve their goals and deliver high-quality service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans for managing risk and improve operations.
• Ability to analyze performance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage multiple projects and initiatives concurrently, ensuring all are completed on time and within budget.

DISCLAIMER

Final salary offered is dependent on experience, qualifications and specific requirements for each position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
