As part of a high-performing, cross-functional communications team, the Communications Specialist, U.S. Information Solutions (USIS), will focus the majority of their efforts on the identification, creation and distribution of internal communications content, including, but not limited to, newsletter development, writing of articles, updating and maintaining the USIS intranet and support with business unit town halls and other internal events.

This position will also provide support with external communications efforts, such as Equifax newsroom content development, customer engagement and issues management communications, sales enablement efforts and support with speaking and award submissions. Additional responsibilities include managing the measurement and reporting of metrics, as well as other duties as needed to execute an effective communications capability.

What you’ll do

Work with the USIS communications team to provide tactical support for the internal and external communications needs of the business unit, including:

  • Development of regular internal newsletters (writing and sourcing of content, distribution and measurement) across a diverse and complex business unit

  • Content development and ongoing maintenance of the USIS intranet site, in conjunction with the USIS communications team

  • Track speaking engagements and award recognitions and support of submissions and drafting awards abstracts

  • Communications support for business unit town halls and other events, including messaging and presentation development and support

  • Creating compelling news summaries, Q&As or other topical pieces for posting to the external Equifax online newsroom, blog and social media platforms

  • Support with customer engagement communications and issues management, including message development and support with internal review processes

  • Measurement and reporting of internal and external communications vehicles and channels to ensure effectiveness of efforts

What experience you need

  • Bachelor’s Degree ideally in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, PR, or another related field

  • 2 or more years of experience doing internal and external communications

  • Previous experience working for a Public Relations Agency

  • Able to work well with cross functional teams

  • Creative and skilled writer, deadline-oriented, comfortable working independently with general supervision

  • Exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action

  • Able to navigate and establish effective relationships across multiple areas and teams within a highly matrixed and change-oriented environment
