Equifax is seeking an experienced Program Manager (PM) on our Government Solutions team who will be responsible for leading project activities from initiation through production implementation, working closely with the team and stakeholders across the organization to deliver on-time and high-quality solutions that are in support of the client's goals. The PM will serve as the primary liaison between the client and Equifax, and be experienced in managing all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process to include project planning, execution and client satisfaction.
The Program Manager will work a hybrid schedule, requiring working in the office 3 days per week, from our office in Atlanta, St Louis, Reston or Louisville.

The Program Manager will work a hybrid schedule, requiring working in the office 3 days per week, from our office in Atlanta, St Louis, Reston or Louisville.
What you'll do
- Work directly with government customers, analysts, and engineers to identify and document requirements, perform detailed analysis/design, and support the development of the solution in accordance with system/product architectures.
- Work with the program management team to scope and estimate new efforts or customer requests as needed.
- Responsible for successful execution of the project, managing schedule to milestones, and maintaining communication with the client and Program Manager.
- Provide routine status and or project reports to project stakeholders.
- Manage/Mentor a small team of analysts and engineers.
- Collaborate with systems architects to design software solutions and guide the activity of the engineers.
- Work with solution engineers and perform design tradeoffs and develop solutions in accordance with the terms and conditions of the project.
- Forecast and plan resource requirements for complex projects or initiatives
- Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services
- Interact with key decisions-makers within own function and across related functions to successfully navigate Equifax's matrixed organization, involving others across the organization as needed
- Anticipate and reduce obstacles to achieve multiple complex objectives (e.g., customer financial, operational)
- Collaborate with the customer to modify business efforts to best deliver value, outlining strategic alternatives based on an in-depth knowledge of the customer's business environment
What experience you need
- 10 years related experience, preferably in client-facing consulting roles, IT product, Government-contracting, etc.
- Bachelor of Science in related field required. Graduate degree in related field or MBA a plus
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security clearance is required.
What could set you apart
- 2 years experience as a Federal Government Prime contractor.
- Direct experience managing different contract vehicles (FFP, LOE, T&M) is desired.
- PMP is desired
- Work experience with the Social Security Administration, CMS, Department of Veterans Affairs, or other larger government agency is desired.
- Experience with government software development life cycle (SDLC) framework and artifacts, and delivering on tasks performed at each step in the software development process.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Ability to manage the technical, schedule, quality, and cost objectives of the project.
