What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN) position at Equiliem?
Summary of Need:
To provide nursing interventions and medication administration consistent with the established systematic problem-solving approach for the delivery of comprehensive nursing care, which are compliant with the regulatory standards in a juvenile correctional setting.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining general medical inventory (including controlled substances).
- Conducting medication administration.
- Review the overall health conditions of youth (i.e. preparing, reviewing, and evaluating nursing intervention plans).
- Ensuring that interventions are consistent with comprehensive treatment plans.
- Participate in staff training.
- Prepare required clinical and administrative reports.
- Maintain infection control standards; and, serve as a member of the facility's medical treatment team.
- Additional duties to be discussed in detail during the interview.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Minimum of one (1) or more years' experience.
- Highly motivated, independent thinker and self-starter.
- Enthusiastic team player.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects. Strong follow-up and communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills. (Word processing, office scheduling, familiar with Windows).
Shift: Tuesday to Saturday – 230pm to 1030pm
Contract Length: Up to 2 years.
