Job Summary
The Director, Global Benefits provides global (35 countries across LATAM, EMEA and APAC) benefits strategy and philosophy by building recognition of the value global benefits brings to Equinix multinational employees. Collaborates with leadership across the organization to align with business requirements and Equinix culture. Ensures effective and efficient operations for global benefits while mentoring, coaching, and developing the global benefits team.
Responsibilities
Develops, maintains and scales global benefits strategies while providing benefits that meet the varied needs of Equinix employees with mindfulness of local regulations, company culture, and business requirements
Creates, maintains, or exceeds a market competitive benefits program to help attract and retain talent
Develops communication tools and documents, to enhance understanding of the Company's benefit plans and programs
Organize, create, and maintain standard operating procedures, including system and process documentation
Drives effective communication of benefit strategies and programs
Works to deliver benefits and resources at Equinix that support the core commitments of, "I am safe, I belong and I matter"
Builds benefit programs that are committed to ensuring the long-term success of our people, our organization, and our world
Develops and manages cost-effective ways to attain and administer global benefit programs in locally relevant ways
Builds recognition for the value that global benefits bring to Equinix
Leadership and oversight of benefit vendors (i.e. brokers, consultants, insurance carriers, record-keepers), trustees and other administrative and/or legislative agencies; evaluate and recommend outside business partners based on performance and value to support Equinix benefit requirements
Qualifications
Experience in design and implementation of benefits programs across multiple geographies
Proven, influential leadership and relationship building skills
Ability to work with other areas such as HR Business Partners, Finance, Communications, HR Shared Services and communicate in a way that is understandable to others
Demonstrated flexibility and efficient time management with the ability to prioritize workload with the ability to operate in a face-paced environment with competing priorities
Knowledge of integrating benefits technology solutions with various HRIS, payroll, vendors and carrier systems
Flexible and comfortable to roll-up your sleeves, used to being hands-on
Extraordinary communication skills - both oral and written
Ten (10) plus years of experience in benefits with a focus on building and managing business aligned benefit programs; preferably gained while working for a global, matrixed organization or equivalent
Strong coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills
