What you will do
- Perform dispatch functions for the Field Services organization as an extension of the National Dispatch Team (NDT)
- The NDT is the control center for all Field Operations activity and must ensure that the field forces are routed and loaded accurately to improve their utilization and efficiency.
- This also includes routing and managing field related work that is performed by contractors (3PP) working on behalf of Ericsson.
- Using the Supplier Management Resource Tool (SMRT), assign work, supervise progress, follow up on delays and ensure work is completed to agreed upon practices/standards.
- Manage end to end SMRT tickets creation
- Continuously analyzing workload verses available capacity, make decisions for needed adjustment as workload instruct
- Manage and approve multi million dollar operating expense (opex) funding
- Dispatch and assign SMRT tickets to field operations and 3PP; primarily focused on cranes and lifts
- Continuously supervise progress and update status changes to ensure they are in line with customer defined service level agreements (SLA) as it relates to 3PP and internal tower climbers
- Update status reports and highlight matters requiring critical issue
- Review 3PP metrics and ensure quality, performance and cost is best in class relative to their peers
- Lead multiple projects/tickets at one time and ensure delays and cost overruns are minimized
- Respond to executive stakeholder concerns and provide explanations as to what the issue is and come up with mitigation plans to eliminate future concerns
- Understands the field service practices linked RF equipment, tower climbing, tower structures, crane/lift applications, generators, HVAC systems, electrical and general compound maintenance
- Detailed review of work packages, scope of work and analysis of the close out package prior to approving the ticket for closure and payment
- Ability to read and understand contracts related to access, service agreements, traffic control, permitting and other material related to ensuring the assigned resources are tractable
- Serve as a domain guide on various forums related to industry standards for the management of a highly sophisticated communications network
- Work with customers and answer/address concerns and requests for status
- Understand and adhere to Ericsson Environmental Health and Safety processes for related field activities
This role reports to the Director of Project Operations
You will bring
- Prior work experience in the RF, construction and/or field services area
- Solid understanding of all Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.) Visio and pivot tables experience are a plus
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Vendor management and Self-starter
- Superior time leadership skills with a sophisticated level of attention to detail
- Prioritization and organizational skills
- Very good understanding of financial and discernment
- Ability to work with limited direction and information
- Sophisticated ability to communicate both orally and written to all levels of the organization and with external customers
