Department Position Summary:
Performs bank deposits and balance cash drawers. Duties include a combination of the basic functions of a Distribution Clerk and Window Clerk in a United States Government Sub-Contract Postal Station. Oversees the delivery of in-house mail between departments. Responsible for insuring the cash collections are reconciled daily. Processes all outgoing mail and packages, sells stamps and money orders, and pre-sorts mail in compliance with Federal Regulations. Registers and insures outgoing mail daily in an appropriate manner as requested and required by Federal Regulations. Prepares daily report to the main Post Office in compliance with Federal Rules and Regulations detailing sales, bank deposit, cash on hand, etc.
