Position Summary
The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for identifying business opportunities and business lead generation primarily through office-based approaches using the phone and social media such as LinkedIn. The Inside Sales Specialist works within a team environment and partners with other departments to develop strategies and close business. This individual is accountable for a high volume of cold calling and customer calls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Generate business leads through office-based approaches using phone and social media such as LinkedIn
- Prospecting and lead qualifying
- Identify potential businesses in the marketplace that utilize shipping services through a shorter sales cycle. The opportunities may initially involve short-term transactions with the objective of developing the client into a long-term repeat business client
- Continue post sale relationship development
- Engage in prospecting and/or partnering in lead generation with Account Executives
- Other administrative duties as assigned
