Well Established Design Build Cold Storage Facility GC looking to add Rockstar Superintendent with excellent communication skills.
Must be capable of full cycle, Permits, Breaking ground to Final Signoff for projects spanning from San Diego to Northern California for repeat clientele.
This is a Hybrid Superintendent / Project Manager role which is responsible for leading a team of professionals in completing projects by a set deadline to uphold business initiatives. Responsible for dividing up their budget for different project aspects and advocating for additional funding when necessary, hiring freelance professionals or selecting project team members from existing departments and setting or adjusting project schedules to adhere to deadlines.
Essential Job Functions:
· Time management and organization skills are critical. Position requires the individual to handle multiple projects at one time, track time lines, costs, and manage sub-contractors.
· Estimate project from beginning to end including all trades not limited to: Panel installers, refrigeration, fire sprinklers, electrical, plumbing, and general construction.
· Must be able to create project timelines, budgets, and facilitate meetings for project kick off and progress meetings.
· Must be able to coordinate all activities with architects, engineers, city personnel, and sub-contractors as needed to get the jobs completed on-time, on budget, and to the owner’s expectation.
· Ensures project Superintendent and Forman maintain well run and fast paced work sites adhering to safety program rules, budget, and timelines.
· Takes the lead for preconstruction meetings to explain the scope of work and schedule details for the work to be started and completed.
· Manages entire Commercial construction projects, including safety, planning, directing, coordinating or budgeting activities relating to the construction.
· Ensures Superintendent is accountable for meeting job requirements and controlling costs.
· Sporadically through the project, reviews labor costs and material costs with controller to ensure we meet target and have an action plan to get back on track.
· Interact and communicate with Owners, Architects, Engineers, Subcontractors & Superintendents to resolve site questions and issues.
· Leads or actively participates in pre-construction, progress, staff and safety meetings; when/as required.
· Develop and update project schedules; manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Requirements:
· 3 to 5 years of experienced in cold storage/commercial construction.
· In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines.
· Excellent organizational and leadership skills & attention to detail.
· Excellent customer relation/customer support experience
· Ability to communicate and report effectively.
· Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
· Ability to prioritize projects, work against deadlines and organize work flow with multiple interruptions.
· Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
· CAD software experience a plus.
· Knowledge with Microsoft office
· Knowledge with excel/PowerPoint and word a plus.
Physical Requirements:
· Lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of up to 50lbs.
· Have the ability to stand and walk for up to 8 (or more) hours a day.
· Some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
· Some tasks require the ability to perceive sounds and visual cues or signals.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
