The Manager, Safety & Health is responsible for supporting the development and administration of all occupational safety and health programs and fire prevention and crisis management programs.

Responsibilities :
- Partners with the Safety leadership team in the development and administration (including training) of all occupational safety and health programs including Injury and Illness Prevention Program, lockout/tagout, ergonomics, electrical safety, confined space entry, hazard communication, hearing conservation, personnel protective equipment, forklift, scaffolding, aerial lifts, fall protection programs for ESPN facilities.
- Collaborates with the Safety leadership team on the development and administration (including training) of all fire prevention and crisis management programs including inspection/testing of fire sprinkler, fire alarm, emergency lighting and fire extinguisher systems for ESPN facilities and remote venues around the world.
- Manage (including training) the crisis management program including maintenance of AEDs, 1st Aid supplies, weather radios, and emergency stair descender equipment for ESPN facilities and remote events.
- Responsible for developing and implementing safety and health programs at ESPN Productions (including XG Events & Development), ESPN facilities and operations around the world, including auditing facilities for safety and health risks, ensuring basic fire protection such as sprinkler and fire alarm systems, providing information and training to employees on emergency response and fire safety.
- Partners with the Safety leadership team on plan review for all new construction and renovations for compliance with ADA, building code, fire code, and FM requirements at ESPN facilities and remote venues around the world. Liaison with Factory Mutual plan review department and FM-assigned engineering consultant.
- Maintains a working knowledge of FM requirements, International Building Code, ADA accessibility guidelines, environmental regulations, EPA regulations, and OSHA regulations.
- Participates in the ongoing evaluation of workplace conditions, materials, equipment, and processes used in order to identify and control workplace hazards and other safety and health risks.
Basic Qualifications :
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience.
- Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Associate Risk Manager or Professional Engineer designation.
- Strong safety background, including scaffold erection, plan review, fire protection and life safety, OSHA regulations, environmental laws and regulations, and crisis management
