A Scribe is a person who specializes in charting physician-patient encounters in real-time, during medical examinations. You will have the opportunity to work side by side with physicians in many different specialties including the Emergency Department, Oncology, Cardiology, Neurology, and more. We have opportunities throughout the Greater Phoenix area.
Job Description:
- Accompany the healthcare provider into patient examination rooms to accurately document the history, physical, assessment, and plan directly into the electronic health record (EHR).
- List all proper diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and orders for labs, medications, and other consult services as dictated by the physician.
- Prepare healthcare provider charts as needed
- Comply with procedures and legal regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Assist with various aspects of patient coordination of care as deemed necessary.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 shifts a week
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to clearly communicate, orally and in writing
- Responsible and reliable with a passion for healthcare and learning
- Strong organizational skills
- Minimum typing speed of 65 WPM
- Comfortable with computers
