MISSION - PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Under the guidance of the Account Manager, the Associate Account Manager will assist with product assortments, pricing, selecting key items, and developing promotional strategies to drive sales. The Associate Account Manager is responsible for selling to small volume accounts, managing the business to grow market share, achieving sales plans, and increasing the profitability of the division.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with the preparation of product, sales analysis, strategies and sales materials for account meetings
Work collaboratively with Product Development regarding design styling, sourcing and pricing and product branding to ensure the needs of the customer are being met
Work in conjunction with Supply Chain Management to ensure availability and the timely delivery of merchandise
Assist with the forecast of gross sales weekly and seasonal credits related to product returns and inventory markdowns
Develop budgets by account and by brand, ensuring sales goals are achieved by comparing current orders against projections and total year forecasts
Responsible for generating sales and expanding relationships within assigned customers
Manage small volume accounts and track selling of accounts
Manage monthly, and quarterly sales budget
Present product line to accounts and sell suggested product mix by account

PROFICIENCIES REQUIRED

Strong Computer Skills, including Microsoft Office
Strong problem solving/analytical skills with retail math aptitude
Strong presentation skills
Exceptional interpersonal/customer-focus and communication skills
Experience in M3 a plus
Off Price Department Store experience or ecommerce experience a plus
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years related experience preferred
Retail math literacy and application of concepts to daily operations
Previous experience managing department store accounts and ecommerce
Fluent English (both spoken and written), other language is a plus
Strong business partnering skills
Autonomous, with strong ability to work effectively in multi-cultural, geographically dispersed, virtual teams
Influencing skills and project management experience in a matrix and complex organization, covering multi-region scope
Strong leadership and excellent communication skills
