GENERAL FUNCTION
The Sr. Manager of Finance is a key leader / business advisor within the Eye Care Projects team, providing analysis and support within the eyecare space and our independent partner practices. This position will provide financial review and forecasting of independent optometric practices, supporting their growth and business planning.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops financial forecasts consistent with overall practice strategies and goals.
- Develops monthly/quarterly forecasts/plans for P&L line items (sales, labor, G&A, etc) – ensures forecast accuracy.
- Acts as the financial partner for independent partner practices, field support teams, and home office shared services.
- Completes monthly/quarterly actual vs forecast packages (executive summary and details).
- Coordinates monthly actual P&L analysis.
- Completes detailed review of actual results.
- Coordinates obtaining variance explanations.
- Prepares month-end financial report for key leadership.
- Provides guidance to independent partner practice leadership on business trends to enhance results (financial and non–financial).
- Reports KPI weekly with commentary.
- Reviews key line items including sales, discounts, payroll, commissions, bonus, etc. – makes recommendations to ensure forecasts/plans are achieved.
- Reviews scorecard monthly with brand and field leadership.
- Partners with field management to develop broader business and financial acumen.
- Leads analysis for testing and special projects.
- Partners with brand teams on various brand projects (e.g. new store analysis, payroll and compensation plans, etc.).
- Partners with cross functional teams on tests (e.g. ROI on promotional activities, test results for merchandising, marketing and other brand initiatives, etc.).
- Forecasts OD sales to align new store growth with brand base business growth.
- Review practice statements and verify results of sales.
- Manage review of billing and reimbursements by location and practice.
- Strategize increased productivity and sales results within practices and groups.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- S. in Accounting or Finance
- 8 years accounting and/or financial planning and analysis experience
- 2 years in a finance role
- Systems – strong excel user and financial systems
- Software knowledge (Essbase, Business Objects, Analyst, Oracle, etc)
- Exceptional analysis skills, curiosity to research issues and willingness to expand breadth of knowledge
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong business acumen in retailing/optical retailing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA
- CPA

Pay Range: $124,538.80 - $177525.2
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package Benefits/Incentive Information including health benefits, PTO, 401K, paid family leave, tuition reimbursement, and eyewear discounts.
