Manufacturing Operations Manager

GENERAL FUNCTION

The Manufacturing Operations Manager directs the manufacture of prescription eyewear in a high volume, mixed model environment. Leads supervisors and production teams to successfully achieve daily performance goals and objectives established by facility leaders. Maintains a safe working environment and promotes a culture of associate engagement that provides opportunities for growth and advancement.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Determines staffing requirements.

· Hires and trains new staff.

· Supervises direct reporting staff according to Luxottica Characteristics.

· Sets employee goals and objectives.

· Develops staff to maximize potential.

· Evaluates current business processes and systems.

· Plans and implement. procedures and systems to continuously improve operations.

· Establishes and maintains controls.

· Formulates department/unit policies and practices.

· Coordinates financial and budget activities for maximum operational efficiency.

· Facilitates the preparation and analysis of reports.

· Responsible for the achievement of department/division/unit productivity and quality goals.

· Organizes and manages business meetings

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree

· 6 years of experience in related field

· Knowledge of business and management principles and practices

· Knowledge of strategic planning

· Knowledge of human resource management principles and procedures

· Knowledge of basic economic and accounting principles and practices

· Knowledge of office administrative procedures

· Proficient in relevant software applications

· Good oral and written communication skills

· Good judgment and decision making skills

· Good planning and organizational skills

· Problem analysis and problem solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Supervisory experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
