What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service/Retail position at Estes Enterprises?
We are looking for part time and full time employees to staff our stores in the Minneapolis St. Paul Airport. Great and fun work environment supportive staff.
You can work shifts like 6am-2pm, or 1pm-9pm any days any weekends

- Understand the strategy, vision and expansion of our organization including a thorough understanding of Estes Gift & News' business; be aware of and help to enforce organizational policies and best practices. support the direction and final decisions of the supervisor and all other management teams. Ability to work well with co workers and in a team setting.
- Generate goodwill for the organization and its management among staff, customers, suppliers, and be a positive influence in the work environment.
- Welcome customers by greeting them and assisting them at the point of sale by helping them select products, identifying prices of goods or services. Must be able to use cash registers and scanners to check out guests.
- Direct customers by escorting them to racks and counters; suggesting items, advising customers by providing product information and helping them make decisions on products.
- Keep clientele informed by notifying them of preferred sales within the stores. Bag and box or gift wrap merchandise if requested by client and prepare packages for shipment if needed.
- Stock products in the store, mark prices on shelves and individual items; assist with inventory accounting as well as cleaning and tidying of the store area. Process merchandise returns if needed and or exchanges per company policy.
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and ending of shifts and periodically throughout the shift to ensure the amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
- Calculate total receipts received during a pre-determined time period and prepare appropriate reports.
- Adhere to established safety standards and immediately report any unsafe activity to supervisory or management staff.
- Work daily and effectively to balance stress of multiple projects, and work with management team as needed.
- consistent punctual attendance is an essential for this position. Perform other duties as needed by management team.

Internal Contacts: Frequent direct, telephone and electronic contact with all company personnel.
External Contacts: Frequent direct, telephone and electronic contact with customers, professional resources, contracting entities, vendors and suppliers
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
Working Conditions: Normal interior and exterior conditions
Flexible schedule Normally, a minimum of 10 - 30 hours per week with extra time as needed to support the company.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE SPECIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma with some advanced training in mathematics and customer service; retail experience is a plus.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND PERSONAL ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- General job knowledge of customer service; also, product knowledge.
- Knowledge of processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, selling to customer needs, meeting quality standards and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated skill and proficiency with Windows-based computers.
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and accurately follow through on work activities with time constraints and interruptions to meet deadlines in a timely manner. Ability to present a polished professional manner to client and team workers in stores.
- Ability to meet the physical and mental requirements of the essential job functions.
