SUMMARY:

Responsible for directing an organization's accounting functions. These functions include establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives

SHIFTS:

Full Time, Exempt

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Primary duty is to direct and coordinate activities concerned with financial administration and general accounting, and financial and statistical reporting.
• Directs the preparation of the EPH budget.
• Preparation of monthly financial statements for internal management, Board of Directors and various external entities. Including the Foundation and The Elizabeth Guild and future 501 (c) 3 organizations.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance, coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and accounting of company resources, manage and comply with all local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
• Coordination accounting operations such as Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Payroll, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, P&L operations and Revenue Recognition.
• Prepares and works with external auditors and assist with the EPH’s external Audit.
• Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and subsidiary systems.
• Fixed assets accounting and reporting.
• Contributions/donations accounting and bank reconciliations.
• Analyzing and generating large amounts of financial data.
• Test and implement new reporting/computer systems and/or upgrades.
• Develop, maintain, and document business processes and accounting policies.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• MBA with Accounting emphasis or equivalent experience required
• Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in Accounting preferred. Strong computer and analytical skills.
• Requires strict confidentiality, attention to detail and analytical capabilities. Ability to work independently, as well as be a contributing team member. Strong desire to constantly improve processes and increase efficiency.
