Job Description
esVolta seeks an HR Associate to support the wellness of the company’s most important asset – its exceptional team. The HR Associate will report to the Company’s Vice President, Human Resources, providing key support for HR tasks as well as special projects. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, process-oriented, extremely flexible with an ability to learn and adapt quickly and must be organized with a strong sense of client service. The role will continuously evolve as the organization grows and the HR team enhances current processes and procedures. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who has already gained experience in an HR administrative role and is eager to continue their development in HR.
Key Responsibilities
- Support esVolta’s shared purpose and company culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, diversity and inclusion, employee wellness and engagement.
- Assist with organizing all-hands and departmental meetings and events, and supporting employee listening, including engagement surveys and feedback.
- Manage the company’s new employee onboarding activities including implementing pre-employment background checks, I-9 approvals, NDAs, company policy rollout, and IT provisioning. Manage offboarding as applicable.
- Maximize the value of esVolta’s outstanding team through management of the company’s training and development programs including organizing and tracking completion status of required compliance trainings and administering performance review and feedback processes.
- Support implementation of HR initiatives and efforts in conjunction with VP of HR and company leadership team. This is inclusive of a broad range of transaction support activities.
- Support benefits, payroll, leaves of absences and worker’s compensation procedures.
- Act as a liaison to the VP of HR to troubleshoot, manage, and resolve day to day employee questions and/or issues.
- Partner with VP of HR to identify best practice opportunities and provide back-up support if/as needed.
- Manage ad-hoc reporting and headcount requests, inclusive of structuring and responding to data requests.
- Command of HR policies, processes, regulations and systems.
- Special projects and other tasks as required.
- Demonstrate the high level of judgement, confidentiality, and integrity, building trust with HR partners and clients.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in human resources. Experience in energy industry a significant plus.
- Strong quantitative and data analytics skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.

Compensation and Location
The anticipated annual salary plus bonus range for this position is listed below. The actual salary and bonus offered will depend on the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate.HR Associate | Salary $100 – 120,000 | Bonus 20% |
Location flexible, option to work-from-home with periodic office visits for in-person engagement or to work from company offices in Newport Beach.
