Provides clinical support to pharmacy staff, responsible for product/data verification, ensuring the compliance with regulatory guidelines, company policies and procedures to maintain quality and patient safety.
Job Responsibilities/Tasks
Completes product verification via a computer terminal and images created by technicians/automation. Resolves issues in a timely manner. Models and shares best practices with all team members to deliver consistent results. Ensure the compliance with regulatory guidelines, company policies and procedures. Coordinate with leadership and staff to maintain patient safety and improve production. Ensures the use of all elements of the Good Faith Dispensing policy in conjunction with state and federal controlled substance laws when filling prescriptions. The Product Review Pharmacist has the ultimate responsibility for ensuring that the elements of Good Faith are present.
Training & Personal Development
Maintains current knowledge and skills related to pharmacy and healthcare by reading pharmacy related journals, company publications, and communications. Maintains awareness of developments in retail and management and Healthcare Services Pharmacist pursues best practices that would enhance performance. Obtains necessary certifications, education credits and internal training modules assigned by the Company through the Talent Management Portal.
Basic Qualifications & Interests (BQIs)
- - 40 hours/week
- - 2 shift options: 3 pm-11 pm OR 2 pm-10 pm
- - Shifts will be 5 days during Sundays-Fridays (No Saturdays)
- Verify images of the prescriptions that are being filled (i.e.- correct patient and correct prescription) and handle exceptions that come out of automation. Not patient-facing.
- Short phone interview
- Resume and a copy of their Arizona Pharmacist license

- BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
