Job Title: Phlebotomist II

Location: Cumming, GA 30041

Pay Rate: 16-18/hr

Duration: 3 months

Job Description:

• Identifying patients via ID, medical record or other means
• Drawing blood using needles and other equipment
• Labeling samples correctly and send them for testing
• Proven experience as a Phlebotomist or Phlebotomy Technician
• Experience with effective puncture techniques
• Understanding of proper patient identification methods
• Knowledge of legal requirements about drawing blood, handling fluid samples and use of relevant medical equipment and material
• Ability to use computers to enter information
• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred. Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Work Experience: Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections. Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred. Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience.

Additional Job Details:

• Shift time is Mon-Fri 10a-6p
• Candidates expected to see around 25 patients per day Looking for phlebotomist with strong patient verification of demographics.
• Great accuracy, speed, positive attitude, and highly professional. Must be able to problem solve effectively. HM would consider candidates with less experience (please still ensure their pay is in line with the rate range)
